White Plains Rotary Sponsors 2 INTERACT Clubs

Genesis: At the R.I. Convention in 2007, held in Salt Lake City, Ted Nygreen attended a wonderful presentation about INTERACT, and decided to develop a club here in White Plains.

A committee spearheaded by Jack Rose worked to establish such a club, which finally was chartered in 2008 and became the Interact Club of WPHS.

In 2010, an ad hoc committee of Lisa Romano and Kevin Hunt and Evan Delman undertook a similar effort at Archbishop Stepinac High School. With other Rotarians also involved (Jack Rose again), the Stepinac High School Interact Club came to life in late 2010.

Charter Certificate Presentation

Our Certificate of Incorporation was signed by R.I. President D.K. Lee on December 16, 2008. Rotarian Jack Rose presented this certificate to Jodi Kennedy, our faculty advisor who is mainly responsible for the formation of the student club.

With parents invited to a meeting, we presented the charter certificate on February 5, 2009.
